Great food has always been my passion. I travelled the world working as a chef in the 80’s and 90’s and encountered a number of cultures. I learned the intricacies of their cooking and saw for myself how sustainable practices can be achieved no matter what the location. Food is the essence of all cultures.

Eventually the crazy hours of the food industry got the better of me and I retrained as a sociologist. Food continued to be a strong theme throughout all areas of my life. Early in my career I worked with young people in the area of eating disorders prevention. Working alongside innovative health workers, dieticians and nutritionists, I gained a broad science-based knowledge of diet and nutrition. The experience further entrenched my passion surrounding fresh produce and sustainability and its relationship to self-esteem, balance and beauty. Fresh, delicious food is vital to health and happiness.
